The future of nursing will not be built by one leader—it will be built by all of us. As President of the Texas Nurses Association, I will lead by listening, collaborating, and bringing nurses together across every specialty, practice setting, and generation. Our profession is strongest when every nurse has a voice, every perspective is valued, and every leader is committed to developing those around them.

I believe leadership is an act of service. Throughout my career, I have been committed to building meaningful partnerships, mentoring emerging leaders, and creating opportunities for nurses to influence the future of healthcare. Together, we can strengthen our profession by fostering collaboration, investing in leadership development, and ensuring TNA remains a trusted home for every Texas nurse.

Advocating Boldly

Nurses deserve more than recognition—they deserve representation. I will be a bold, visible, and unwavering advocate for Texas nurses by ensuring our voices are heard where policy is shaped, healthcare decisions are made, and the future of our profession is determined.

Advocacy begins with earning a seat at the table, but our work does not end there. We must also empower nurses with the confidence, leadership skills, and professional development to speak with influence once they are in the room. Every nurse has expertise that can shape policy, improve patient outcomes, and strengthen our profession. I am committed to cultivating leaders who are prepared not only to participate in important conversations, but to lead them.

Having served in clinical practice and healthcare leadership at the state and national levels, I understand the importance of translating the experiences of nurses into meaningful action. Whether advocating for healthy work environments, workforce sustainability, professional practice, or policies that strengthen patient care, I will lead with courage, integrity, and purpose. Together, we will ensure that Texas nurses are not only present where decisions are made—but that our voices are respected, our perspectives influence change, and our leadership shapes the future of healthcare.
